Email to Notebook flows
Use this guide to route emails into your NotebookLM workflows through WebSync.
What this flow does
Section titled “What this flow does”Email-to-Notebook flows let you:
- send newsletters, alerts, and reports directly into a notebook
- reduce copy/paste or exporting to PDF from inbox in order to update your NotebookLM
- keep recurring sources synced through forwarding rules
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You have WebSync extension v1.8 or later installed
- You are signed in with the same Google user in both the WebSync extension and the Websync website (http://websync-for-notebooklm.com)
Setup: Email to Notebook flow
Section titled “Setup: Email to Notebook flow”1. Open Email flows in WebSync
Section titled “1. Open Email flows in WebSync”Go to the WebSync Email-to-Notebook configuration page: https://websync-for-notebooklm.com/app/email-to-notebook
2. Create a new flow
Section titled “2. Create a new flow”Set:
- A notebook name, for example:
Weekly newsletters - The target email address, for example: weekly-newsletters@ingest.websync-for-notebooklm.com
After clicking “Create Flow” the WebSync extension will create the new notebook in your account
3. Copy your forwarding address
Section titled “3. Copy your forwarding address”Each flow has an ingestion email address. Copy it exactly.
4. Send a test email
Section titled “4. Send a test email”Forward one email manually and confirm it appears in the target notebook. Note that it may take a few minutes to process.
Troubleshooting tips
Section titled “Troubleshooting tips”Email never appears in NotebookLM
Section titled “Email never appears in NotebookLM”- Confirm the forwarding address is exact (no extra spaces or typos).
- Check the flow is enabled and points to the expected notebook.
- Verify you are signed into the correct NotebookLM account/profile in both the extension and the website
- Make sure you are forwarding the emails from the same Google address your user is signed in with.
- Wait a few minutes and refresh the notebook.
