WebSync for NotebookLM - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms By installing and using WebSync, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of the Service: WebSync Chrome extension is a productivity tool designed to streamline importing website content into Google NotebookLM. The Extension enhances user workflow by automatic content import. WebSync acts solely as a technical tool to facilitate user-initiated imports and does not review, monitor, or control the content being imported.
3. User Data and Privacy: WebSync collects only your email address to enable account functionality and improve your experience. WebSync does not collect data from the websites you visit or browse. For more information about our data handling practices, please review our Privacy Policy. WebSync does not retain the content imported by users from third-party websites.
4. Third-Party Services: WebSync integrates with third-party services, including:
- Google NotebookLM – for importing content.
- Google Analytics – to collect anonymous usage data for performance monitoring and improvements.
- Google Firebase – for backend infrastructure, and authentication.
Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies. WebSync is not responsible for any restrictions, limitations, or actions imposed by third-party services or content providers.
5. User Responsibilities: Use WebSync only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code from WebSync. Do not misuse the Extension in a way that disrupts its functionality or impacts other users.
Content Rights and Compliance:
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right, permission, and authority to access, copy, extract, and import content from any website or source using WebSync.
- You must comply with all applicable laws, copyright rules, intellectual property rights, and the terms of service of any target website.
- WebSync does not verify whether a website permits scraping, copying, or importing its content into Google NotebookLM or any other service.
- WebSync does not monitor or enforce which content is imported and is not responsible if a website prohibits importing its content or if such use results in legal, contractual, or account-related consequences.
6. Subscription and Payment: WebSync offers both free and paid features. Paid features are available under a subscription model. By subscribing, you agree to: Pay the applicable fees for the selected plan. Allow recurring billing, if applicable, until you cancel the subscription.
7. Limitation of Liability: WebSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or disruption resulting from your use of the Extension, including data loss or website access issues. WebSync is not liable for any claims, damages, or disputes arising from the import or use of third-party content, including violations of website terms, copyright claims, or restrictions imposed by content owners or third-party services.
8. Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to WebSync if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Extension.
9. Intellectual Property: All trademarks, logos, and content within WebSync remain the property of their respective owners. WebSync does not claim ownership over any third-party content accessed via the Extension. WebSync does not assume responsibility for the legality or permitted use of third-party content imported by users.
10. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Tel Aviv. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv.
